Birthing in Our Community (BiOC) is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led service for mums, bubs, and families in SouthEast Queensland. It runs out of hubs in Caboolture, Strathpine, Logan, Salisbury, and Wynnum (Brisbane's bayside and North Stradbroke Island). This program has been supporting mob since 2013 and continues to provide:

  • A midwifery service throughout pregnancy, birthing, and the postnatal period.
  • An Indigenous Family Support Practitioner service to support mums-to-be throughout pregnancy and services after.
  • We provide community-based hubs, which are safe and welcoming for families to access and participate in activities.
