Youth Committee

As part of the youth engagement project, we invited young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 15 to 24 living in southeast Queensland to join our youth committee. Our committee comprises 6 to 8 young and deadly blackfullas, who will provide support and guidance in engaging with young people and be a voice for informing strategies to expand youth initiatives for engaging young people.

This role gives an opportunity for young mob to be involved in youth-related matters. Youth Advisors will be involved with all phases of the research project. They will have the opportunity to learn about research and the research process, such as study conduct, analysis, and interpretation of the findings. The youth committee will meet over an estimated four sessions lasting 2-4 hours each, in-person or online.
